What if Marie Antoinette had done burlesque?

Vienna La Rouge has been showing the casually dressed city of Seattle a thing or two when it comes to glamour, fashion, and the titillating tease; all on the burlesque stage. Decked out in costumes that boast thousands of hand placed Swarovski crystals, she evokes bygone eras. Her movements and attention to detail seem to capture moments in time when beauties and ecdysiasts like Anna Held, Gypsy Rose Lee, and Sally Rand ruled the stage with style and class.
Miss La Rouge took her name after the timeless and romantic city of Vienna, Austria and finds inspiration in its beauty, history, and eclectic mix of historical & modern culture. Although born and raised in Seattle, the city of Vienna is also a place with deep family roots for this burlesque ingénue, dating as far back as the 12th century.

As an accomplished seamstress, Vienna is also the designer and sole creator of all her costumes and props. The 1700s thru the 1950s inspire both her stage routines and the costumes that grace them. Along with almost 15 years of classical ballet training, she gets many of her ideas for her numbers from the Belle Époque, vaudeville, the Ziegfeld Follies, old Hollywood films, musicals, and the dramatic costuming of Edith Head and Adrian.
Just a few of her idols include Austrian Empress Elizabeth ("Sisi"), Babe Paley, Anna Held, Gina Lollobrigida, Lillie Langtry, Evelyn Nesbit, Camille Clifford, Edwardian actress Élise DeVére, Mona Vaughn, Sally Rand, and Gypsy Rose Lee. Stage props include everything from classic 3 to 4 foot ostrich feather fans, to a giant pink satin boudoir cushion.
Currently, Vienna is performing all along the west coast between Seattle and San Francisco.

Vienna's Items for sale on 'Etsy':

Etsy: Your place to buy & sell all things handmade
viennalarouge.etsy.com

Each one of Vienna's costumes or items she sells are created by hand with special attention to decorative and historical details.
At this time, all hats, and accessories Vienna creates and sells are restricted to limited, one-of-a-kind works. Custom orders are not taken at this time. Since Vienna is the only one sewing and has other things to sew for (like her burlesque costumes), there will be a chance that she will not have many, or any, items up for sale all of the time. This is why we have no shopping cart system for purchasing items at the moment. She has branched out onto Etsy.com, and will link ready-made items shown on this site to relevant Etsy sale pages with a "Buy it now" option.
